Supporting neurodivergent clients can be challenging—even for experienced practitioners.

Traditional therapy training often fails to address the unique needs of neurodivergent individuals.
And yet, neurodivergent people make up 15-20% of the population—that’s comparable to the percentage of individuals struggling with substance use in the U.S.
One day, hopefully soon, training on working with neurodivergent clients will be just as fundamental for mental health professionals as learning to treat substance use disorders.
But right now, most clinicians are left to navigate these complexities without the guidance they need.
That’s where this training comes in.

Whether you’re just beginning to learn about neurodiversity or you’re looking to refine and deepen your knowledge, this comprehensive training will equip you with the skills to provide truly neurodiversity-affirming therapy.
You’ll move beyond outdated, pathologizing models, embrace a strengths-based framework, and develop the clinical tools needed to create a safe, compassionate, and effective therapeutic environment.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
-
Foundational principles of neurodiversity-affirming care: Move beyond deficit-based models and cultivate a strengths-oriented approach.
-
The intersection of neurodiversity and trauma: Recognize the distinct ways trauma impacts neurodivergent individuals and their relationships.
-
Tailoring therapy to neurodivergent needs: Adapt your modalities to create truly client-centered, affirming care.
-
Harnessing the therapeutic relationship for healing: Build safety, trust, and authentic connection to foster growth and secure attachment.
-
Understanding neurodivergent communication and relationships: Learn to navigate unique communication styles and support authentic connection.
-
Integrating mindfulness and self-regulation strategies: Support emotional regulation and create a safe therapeutic space.
-
Identifying implicit biases and fostering neurodiversity acceptance: Engage in deep self-reflection and learn how to advocate for inclusive, affirming spaces.
-
Balancing evidence-based practice with neurodivergent client needs: Move beyond a one-size-fits-all approach to align research, clinical expertise, and client values.
This training offers more than just knowledge—it provides a transformative perspective that will reshape your approach to therapy.
You’ll gain the confidence and clinical tools to support neurodivergent clients effectively and ethically.

Because without the right training, we risk missing key aspects of our clients’ experiences—or worse, unintentionally causing harm.
Let’s change that.
Join us in shaping the future of therapy—one that truly affirms and empowers neurodivergent individuals.

About Lila Low-Beinart
Lila’s approach is deeply informed by her lived experience as an autistic, gifted, and HSP individual. In her therapeutic work, she prioritizes learning directly from her clients, as the peer-reviewed literature on autism often falls short of being truly neurodiversity-affirming.

In addition to this lived experience, Lila brings a strong scientific mindset to her practice, honed through her previous work as a chemist, where she authored multiple peer-reviewed studies and taught internationally.

As a gifted, autistic autodidact, Lila has a natural talent for teaching. Her trainings, both in the pharmaceutical and therapeutic fields, consistently have a profound impact. In the therapeutic realm, participants frequently have deeply emotional responses, with many moved to tears during her presentations.
